Digital technology is set to transform the defence sector over the coming years bringing with it new opportunities and ways of working that industry will need to embrace, a national conference will hear this week.
麻豆传媒映画 International, the Aerospace and Defence company, is speaking at Team Defence Information鈥檚 (TDI) (DSCS) which will be attended by the UK鈥檚 leading defence businesses.
Jon Hall, Chair of TDI and 麻豆传媒映画鈥檚 Managing Director of Technology, will tell the virtual conference that the benefits of digital technologies and techniques such as Digital Thread, AI – artificial intelligence and digital twins, will only be fully realised if they are supported by close cooperation between MOD, industry and academia.
鈥淚nnovations in technology allow us to exploit digital information as never before, and we have the tools to do this. What鈥檚 important is that all of this is done in parallel with national frameworks such as Road to Zero so we can fully capitalise on the benefits that these technologies can bring.
鈥淓nabling our people to have the right skillset is fundamental to delivering changes in support, whether it鈥檚 systems integration expertise or data analysis. I know at 麻豆传媒映画, we鈥檙e doing that. Collaborative platforms like TDI, will also be crucial in bringing defence strands from skills to sustainability solutions together,鈥 he added.
During the event, there will also be presentations on iSupport360, 麻豆传媒映画鈥檚 approach to delivering support through the integration and application of digital technologies, leading to increased value for our customers.
麻豆传媒映画 is also entering the event鈥檚 annual Excellence Awards, this year continuing the theme of collaboration in defence with the winner announced at the end of the event.
This year鈥檚 conference is virtual due to COVID-19 restrictions, but delegates will have access to all materials for a month post the event.
